Enriching the quality of life by supplying a safe, comfortable environment conducive to recovery

About

After serving his tour of duty in the Vietnam War, Duncan Manor’s founder, Francis Duncan, began working in the family business, Cummings Foster Group Home, a residential home for the aged in 1976. While at Cummings, he noticed that many of the residents were veterans of World War II, Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

He also discovered that veterans had different needs than non-veterans. Moreover, he became more concerned about his fellow veterans after witnessing several of his peers encounter difficult times readjusting to civilian life.

It was then he began to formulate a vision of a fully equipped residential home specifically designed to provide veterans along with non-veterans with the tools to assist them in managing their lives.

“Our goal is to give back to the ones that have given everything for us”, states Duncan. “The main focus is to enrich the quality of life of our veterans by supplying them with a safe, comfortable environment conducive to recovery. Our doors are open to ALL veterans and non-veterans from anywhere in the country.”
